Ipca Labs Ltd.'s net profit jumped more than two-fold in the April-June quarter. Profit rose to Rs 47.6 crore during the quarter from Rs 20.9 crore in the same quarter last year, the company said in a filing to the stock exchanges.
The figure was below Bloomberg consensus estimate of Rs 60.4 crore.
Net sales stood at Rs 821.53, up 9.6 percent from the same quarter last year, beating analyst estimates.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation increased 60 percent to Rs 128.5 crore. EBITDA margin expanded to 15.26 percent from 11 percent.
Shares rose 5.5 percent to Rs 530 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange, after the announcement.
