India's Defence Exports Reached Record High Of Almost Rs 40,000 Crore In FY26

As the financial year comes to an end, India's annual defence exports touched an all-time high of Rs 38,424 crore, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This marks a substantial 62% growth over last year.

The minister announced these figures in a social media post on X on Thursday, adding that the country, which was primarily known for importing weapons, has now become a trusted global exporter of defence equipment.

"India's defence exports have touched a new all-time high with a record Rs 38,424 crore in FY 2025-26. It marks a robust 62.66 per cent growth over the previous fiscal," the defence minister said.

"Today, India, which was once known only for importing weapons, is now rapidly advancing in the case of exports. In the year 2014, India's Defence Exports were approximately Rs 600 crore, which has now increased to Rs 38,500 crore," he added in his post.

The Defence Minister went on to call for unity amid the prevailing West Asia crisis, which has led to energy hyperinflation across the globe.

"Our government is capable and ready to deal with every situation. This is the time for the entire country to unite. During times of crisis, the BJP has always stood with the country. This is not the time for Party Politics, but for all Political Parties to come together," he said.

However, the minister, who recently campaigned in poll-bound Kerala, added that India is ready to deal with any energy crisis and that there is no shortage of petrol or diesel in the nation.

"Some people want to spread all sorts of lies because of this conflict in West Asia to create panic. There is neither a shortage of petrol-diesel in the country, nor of cooking gas cylinders. India is fully prepared to deal with any such Energy Crisis," he concluded.
