A 28-year-old startup founder and an 87-year-old artist—Devanshi Kejriwal and Arpita Singh—are the youngest and oldest stars in the 2025 Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List, defying stereotypes and age expectations alike.

Devanshi Kejriwal is the youngest honouree on the list, representing the Young Women Leaders category as Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Skillmatics, an innovative startup revolutionising early learning in India.

Founded in Mumbai, Skillmatics creates eco-friendly, screen-free educational games and learning resources that are reshaping how children learn. From spelling games to creative puzzles, their range of products is designed to spark curiosity and critical thinking in kids—no screens required.

At the other end of the list, veteran artist Arpita Singh, aged 87, has been recognised among India’s top 10 women artists. Singh’s evocative paintings have captured the imagination of art enthusiasts for decades, with a unique blend of surrealism and social commentary. Her vibrant works explore the complexities of Indian life, often reflecting women’s experiences with unflinching honesty. Even at 87, Singh’s creativity shows no signs of slowing down—her recent solo exhibition at London’s Serpentine North underlined her enduring global relevance.

With an average age of 51 and featuring 97 leaders across nine categories, the 2025 Candere Hurun India Women Leaders List captures the extraordinary breadth of talent and leadership driving India’s economic and cultural transformation—whether at the dawn of a career or in the full bloom of creative maturity.
