New Delhi: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) on Wednesday reported 18.84 per cent increase in total sales at 4,36,358 units in May.
The company had sold 3,67,167 units in the same month of last year, HMSI said in a statement.
In the domestic market, its sales were at 4,15,902 units last month as against 3,53,381 units in May last year, a growth of 17.69 per cent.
Motorcycle sales during the month stood at 1,47,479 units as against 1,38,140 units in May last year, up 6.76 per cent, it added.
The company's scooter sales in May grew by 24.7 per cent to 2,68,423 units from 2,15,241 units in the same month last year, it said.
Exports, soared by 48.38 per cent to 20,456 units as against 13,786 units in May last year, it said.
