The Goods and Services Tax council may have cut rates across 211 items but the companies will benefit from this only when the e-way bill is implemented, Atul Singhvi, executive director of Cera Sanitaryware, told BloombergQuint in an interview.
E-way or electronic bill is an electronically generated document required to move goods worth more than Rs 50,000. Till a pan India e-way bill system is implemented, individual rates of states will apply.
