Exports Fall For Sixth Month in a Row But Trade Deficit Narrows
Continuing its declining trend, India's merchandise exports shrank by 20.2 per cent to $22.35 billion in May, registering a contraction for sixth straight month. Trade data released on Tuesday showed that imports also fell 16.5 per cent to $32.8 billion in May. The trade deficit narrowed to $10.41 billion in May, from $10.99 billion in April.
