EaseMyTrip's Rikant Pittie Appointed Chairman Of CII Delhi For 2025-26
Rikant Pittie becomes the first co-founder of a unicorn company to hold the position of CII Delhi chairman.

Rikant Pittie, chief executive officer and co-founder of EaseMyTrip, has been appointed as the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry Delhi State for 2025-26, the travel booking platform announced on Monday.
Pittie becomes the first co-founder of a unicorn company to hold the position, EaseMyTrip said in a statement. As chairman, he will focus on driving business growth, policy advocacy, digital transformation, and enhancing industry-government collaboration in the region.
Additionally, he aims to strengthen Delhi’s position as a global tourism and cultural hub by spearheading large-scale tourism initiatives, the company said.
"My vision is to position Delhi as a global business and tourism powerhouse, leveraging technology, sustainability, and industry collaboration to unlock new opportunities. I look forward to working alongside policymakers and business leaders to build a future that is dynamic, inclusive, and driven by growth and transformation," Pittie said.
He succeeds Jaideep Ahuja, managing director of Ahuja Residences.
EaseMyTrip, one of the leading online travel aggregators, witnessed a rise in the usage of its platform during the Mahakumbh festival. Over 40% of bookings on EaseMyTrip’s platform coming from individuals in the 30-35 age group, said the company’s president, Preeti Satyanarayana on Jan. 7.
The Mahakumbh, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, took place from Jan. 13 to Feb. 26 this year.
“You might be wondering if it's only a 50-plus (age group) thing. No. The youth are very anxious to do the holy snan in the Triveni Sangam. We are booking all kinds of age groups in large groups to make sure that they do the holy snan on those snan dates,” she had said.
Shares of EaseMyTrip on Monday closed 5.9% lower at Rs 11.04 apiece on the BSE, compared to 0.15% decline in the benchmark Sensex.
