BEL Bags Rs 561-Crore Order For Satellite, Fire Control And Radar Technology

Bharat Electronics Ltd. secured an order worth Rs 561 crore for satellite, fire control and radar technology on Monday according to an exchange filing.

The order includes communication equipment, electro optics, upgrades for satcom network, radar and fire control system, spares, services and more.

With these latest additions, BEL's total order book for fiscal 2025 has risen to Rs 10,362 crore, reflecting strong demand for its products and services across various sectors, including defense, electronics, and public services.

Notably, this follows quickly on the heels of BEL receiving an even larger order. The company had received an order for the amount of Rs 973 crore on Dec 23, 2024.

Among the major orders were platform screen doors for metro rail, radars, communication equipment, jammers, seekers, upgraded submarine sonar, upgraded satcom terminals, test stations, spares, services and more.

The company had received another booster shot before the Dec. 2024 order. BEL received an order for the maintenance of the Akash Missile System, telescopic sights for guns, communication equipment, jammers, and electronic voting machines on Dec 9, 2024.

The orders were worth Rs 634 crore.

Bharat Electronics share price today dropped as much as 4.69% during to Rs 258.30 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. It ultimately closed 4.21% lower at Rs 259.60 per share, compared to a 1.47% drop in the benchmark Nifty.

Twenty one out of the 25 analysts tracking the company have a 'buy' rating on the stock and two suggest 'hold', and three suggests a 'sell' according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analysts' price targets implies a potential upside of 29.1%.
