Air Pegasus Cancels All Flights Due To 'Technical Glitches'

Bengaluru: Low-cost carrier Air Pegasus cancelled all its flights on Wednesday due to technical glitches, an airline spokesman said.

"Flights to and fro have been cancelled for technical reasons. We have not suspended our operations," the spokesman told IANS but declined to elaborate.

The regional airline's website also displayed "cancelled" for flight status for all services rom Bengaluru to six cities and return flightss.

The city-based year-old airline operates the 65-seater twin engine turboprop ATR-72 aircraft to Hubli and Mangaluru in Karnataka, Chennai and Madurai in Tamil Nadu, Cochin and Trivandrum in Kerala and Panjim in Goa daily or thrice in a week.

The spokesman, however, declined to comment on the status of flights on Thursday, saying the airline would update operational information soon on its feeder routes.

Airline's Managing Director Shyson Thomas was not reachable, as he is reported to be unwell and recouping in a city hospital.

The airline discontinued its feeder service to Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh due to low plane load factor within months of launching it over a year ago.

The airline's company (Decor Aviation) has been providing ground handling services to Indian and overseas airlines from 11 airports across the country over the years.
