Air India paid an "avoidable" penalty of Rs 43.85 crore to Boeing for non-adherence of contractually stipulated timelines under the agreement for an aircraft component service programme, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has noted in its report on Union government's compliance audit observation for the period ending March 31, 2020.
