Trump Reciprocal Tariffs: Full List Of Impacted And Exempted Countries
Notably, Russia and Israel were excluded from Trump's tariff list. Canada and Mexico were also spared from the new tariff wave.

US President Donald Trump on Thursday imposed a series of extensive tariffs on India and several countries, noting that unfair trade policies have significantly hurt the US economy.
"The trading relationship between the United States and its trading partners has become highly unbalanced, particularly in recent years," he said at the event labelled 'Liberation Day'.
During an address at the White House, Trump blamed trade deficits for weakening US domestic manufacturing, disrupting supply chains, among other issues. He said that these problems in the US economy stems from imbalanced trade relationships, with unfair tariffs.
Subsequently, Trump imposed a series of tariffs ranging from 10% to more than 49% on nations, including India. On his decision, Trump also called himself "very kind" for imposing only half the amount that other countries taxed US exports. Trump said he would impose a "baseline" tariff of 10% for the rest.

India, which was also anticipating the impact of tariff threats from Trump, has been hit with a reciprocal tariff rate of 26%, slightly higher than the expected 25%. During his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump had repeatedly called out India for its high tariffs on US exports, labelling the country "Tariff King".
Britain and Ukraine have been hit with a baseline tariff of 10%, while European Union partner nations face a reciprocal tariff rate of 20%. Pakistan has been subjected to a 29% tariff, while Bangladesh faces a 37% reciprocal tariff following Trump’s latest announcement.
Notably, Russia and Israel were excluded from Trump's tariff list. Canada and Mexico were also spared from the new tariff wave. To be clear, Canada and Mexico have already faced high tariffs since Trump took office on Jan. 20. North Korea was another surprising name that was absent from the list of affected nations.
