Iran's Kharg Island, the country's primary oil export hub in the Persian Gulf, was struck multiple times by US airstrikes on Tuesday, said multiple reports.
Meanwhile, an Israeli strike hit the Yahya Abad railway bridge in Kashan in central Iran, in which at least two people were killed.
The strikes on the Island come amid escalating tension and Tuesday's ultimatum from US President Donald Trump for a ceasefire and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Last month, Trump raised the idea of American forces seizing Iran's Kharg Island.
“Maybe we take Kharg Island, maybe we don't. We have a lot of options. It would also mean we had to be there (on Kharg Island) for a while,” Trump told in an interview.

The island has been a recurring target since the start of the US-Iran war on February 28.
On March 13, the United States Air Force conducted a large bombing raid on Kharg Island, targeting, reportedly, more than 90 Iranian military sites while sparing oil and gas infrastructure.
US Central Command confirmed the strike had destroyed naval mine storage facilities, missile storage bunkers, and multiple other military sites. Tuesday's fresh strikes suggest the island remains a focus of the conflict even after that earlier large-scale raid.

The small coral island in the northern Persian Gulf is responsible for handling approximately 90% of Iran's crude oil exports and has become a central flashpoint in the widening conflict.
Analysts describe it as the "backbone" of Iran's oil trade infrastructure. Iran earned $53 billion in net oil export revenues in 2025, around 11% of the country's annual GDP, with the island serving as the primary gateway for those revenues.
The oil infrastructure on the island has so far been left intact in previous strikes.
Trump has repeatedly warned that oil facilities would be targeted if Iran does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
