Saudi Arabia has asked all Haj 2026 pilgrims to complete mandatory vaccinations at least 10 days before the pilgrimage begins. The directive aims to ensure adequate immunity, reduce infection risks, and streamline health checks, making timely vaccination essential for smooth travel, entry compliance, and safer participation in one of the world's largest gatherings.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health in its directive has made the vaccination mandatory for all the intending pilgrims as part of preventive measures. Haj 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 25 to May 30.

Emphasising immunisation as the first line of defence, the ministry said timely vaccination is key to ensuring pilgrims can perform rituals safely by building adequate immunity and reducing the risk of infectious disease spread in densely crowded settings.
Health authorities have advised vaccines against meningococcal disease, Covid-19, and seasonal influenza, describing them as essential to curb potential outbreaks during the pilgrimage.
Pilgrims can schedule vaccination appointments via the Sehhaty app under adult immunisation services, aimed at streamlining access and boosting coverage ahead of Haj.
The ministry added that vaccines may be administered either together or separately, depending on medical advice, and reaffirmed that all approved doses meet safety standards and are suitable for eligible groups, including pregnant women.

The Saudi authorities have initiated several measures ahead of the Haj season 2026. Among these measures include valid permit for the pilgrims also.
The violators will face severe penalties, including hefty fines, deportation, and a ban of up to 10 years from re-entering the Kingdom.
