Donald Trump Announces He Will Buy A New Tesla Tomorrow In Bid To Back Elon Musk
Trump came out in support of the Tesla chief as he alleged his opponents were trying to 'illegally and collusively boycott' the electric car brand.

US President Donald Trump will buy a "brand new" Tesla car on Wednesday, as a show of confidence and support for his billionaire adviser Elon Musk.
The leader came out in support of the Tesla chief as he alleged his opponents were trying to "illegally and collusively boycott" the electric car brand.
"To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is 'putting it on the line' in order to help our nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s 'baby', in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for," Trump said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.
"In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American," he added.
The president did not specify which Tesla model he will purchase.

Tesla has been facing negative commentary on social media from Americans opposed to Donald Trump and Musk. The latter has been leading several of the administration's contentious actions, including disruptive cost-cutting measures in the US government and pushing pro-Trump content on his social media platform X.
The reaction on Wall Street has also been severe, with Tesla Inc. shares losing 47% of its value since Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20, a loss of nearly $650 billion in market cap.

Notably, the company's electric cars were a symbol of climate change activism and green transition — ideas that Trump has repeatedly dismissed and chided. The US president has been a proponent of the domestic fossil fuel industry and has directed policies to reverse many of the previous Biden administration's green initiatives.
Musk has responded to Tesla's woes by doubling down on his politics. He reshared a post on X by a user that said, "Tesla has major new products that will lead the market coming. Robotaxi and Optimus, along with lower cost vehicles are in the offing...In China Tesla is winning sales."
"The political climate is being heated up. Last night a Tesla dealership in Seattle was attacked and several vehicles were burned...I feel sorry for people who buy shittier products because they hate Elon. I've tested most and they all suck in comparison," the post added.
The SpaceX founder also shared a post that criticised the Democrats for not coming out against the attacks on Tesla dealerships and Tesla owners.
I think it speaks volumes that you don't hear any Democrats coming out against the attacks on Tesla dealerships and Tesla owners. They are perfectly happy having their ilk cause havoc. That is the kind of people they are. If Republicans were doing this, they would be screamingâ¦
