PM Narendra Modi, Leaders Across Party Lines Wish Rahul Gandhi On His 55th Birthday

As Rahul Gandhi turns 55, birthday wishes poured in from politicians across party lines, including messages from PM Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, June 19, extended birthday greetings to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who turned 55. The Congress MP, currently serving as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, received wishes from across the political spectrum.

“Best wishes to Shri @RahulGandhi on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and a long life,” Prime Minister Modi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also conveyed his good wishes on the social media platform. “Greetings to the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Shri @RahulGandhi on his birthday. May he be blessed with good health and a long life,” Singh posted.

Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, also wished Rahul Gandhi on his special day.

“Extending my heartfelt birthday wishes to the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and Lok Sabha MP from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh Shri @RahulGandhi ji. May this occasion bring joy and the year ahead be filled with health and prosperity,” Gadkari wrote on X.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin referred to Rahul Gandhi as a “brother-in-ideals” while praising his leadership. “Warm birthday wishes to my brother-in-ideals, @RahulGandhi — bound not by blood, but by thought, vision, and purpose. May you continue to stand firm and lead with courage. In our march towards a brighter India, victory shall be ours,” Stalin wrote on X.

Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot shared a long post on X.

He wrote, “Heartfelt birthday wishes to Sh. @RahulGandhi Ji. May God bless you with good health and a long life. The extent to which Rahul ji is fighting for the rights of the oppressed, deprived, Dalits, Tribals, backward classes, and the poor among the upper castes in this country is truly unprecedented. It's true social justice. We all stand with you in this fight for justice. I truly hope that your efforts to protect the Constitution and democracy with such resolve, and your message of peace and love in the entire nation, will succeed. The time has come for you to step forward and lead the nation, to strengthen democracy and safeguard the Constitution.”

DMK leader and Lok Sabha MP K Kanimozhi also wished Rahul Gandhi, stating, “Wishing Thiru @RahulGandhi a very happy birthday. Your courage, clarity, and commitment to safeguarding our Constitution and democracy continue to inspire many. May you be strengthened in your fight for justice, equality, and secularism.”

Senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot wished Rahul Gandhi in Hindi, expressing his admiration for Rahul Gandhi’s dedication to social justice.

On Rahul Gandhi’s birthday, the Indian Youth Congress has also announced to organise a job fair in Delhi. The job fair will be organised at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium to mark the birthday celebration of Rahul Gandhi. The job fair is aimed at bringing together nearly 100 companies and MNCs for the hiring of candidates for nearly 5,000 posts.
