Gunotsav Results 2025 Declared: Check Top 3 Ranking Districts And Key Highlights

Gunotsav Result 2025: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the Gunotsav 2025 results today, March 27. The event was held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra.

The state's Education Minister Ranoj Pegu had earlier shared this information on X. Pegu added that the government will award tablets to 4,320 students under the Arohan Scheme and Rs 25,000 each to 11,594 A+ graded schools.

Sivasagar, Golaghat and Dibrugarh were the top 3 ranking districts of Gunotsav 2025. Sivasagar came 1st with an overall weightage of 0.36. The rankings were given basis the weightage which was derived by using the following formula - 40% for A+ schools, 30% for A schools, 15% for B, 10% for C and 5% for D grade.

The calculation is done as (Number of schools in each grade/Total schools) * Weightage for the respective grade.

• The number of A+ schools rose to 40.79% from 35.73%.

• The total number of A+ & A grade schools has increased to 83.58% from 81.78%.

• The number of C grade schools has decreased to 2.73% from 3.18%.

• The number of D grade schools has decreased to 0.67% from 0.81%.

• The number of D grade students has decreased to 6.31% from 7.17%.

• A total of 7,846 schools have obtained A+ grade in both Gunotsav 2024 and 2025.

• A total of 5,026 schools that were graded A, B, C or D in Gunotsav 2024 have been upgraded to A+ in Gunotsav 2025.

• Incentives worth Rs 28.98 crore were given to 11,594 A+ schools (Rs 25,000 each).

• 4,320 Class 10 students received Tablets under the Arohan Scheme.

• Visit the official website of Gunotsav Assam at gunotsav2025.in.

• Click on any of the Gunotsav Result 2025 links displayed on the homepage.

• Enter the required login details. (11-digit UDISE School Code/credentials).

• The result will be displayed on the screen.

• Download and save the scorecard for future reference.

Gunotsav is an initiative by the Assam government to ensure the quality of education in elementary and secondary schools with improved learning outcomes.

Gunotsav was started in 2017 and this year marks the 6th edition of this intiative. To date more than 2 crore students and 1 Lakh external evaluators have participated in it.

With this initiative, schools having A+ Grades have increased from 11.56% in 2017 to 35.76 % in 2024. Schools having D Grades have decreased from 14.54 % in 2017 to 0.8 % in 2024.
