South Korean smartphone maker Samsung showcased its newest addition to the Galaxy ecosystem — Galaxy S25 Edge — at the Mobile World Congress 2025. The event, which kicked off in Barcelona on Mar. 3, will go on till Mar. 6.

Dubbed as a “true AI companion,” the Galaxy S25 Edge was first unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked 2025 in January in California. Samsung described the model as the next generation of mobile AI, outing it as the slimmest Galaxy S series yet in a blog post on Mar. 4.

At the January event, it was revealed that the series comes with a "Now Brief" feature, which provides a quick overview of one's day's schedule. It also has AI-powered photo editing tools to take the camera experience to a “whole new level”. The Galaxy S25 Edge also includes the enhanced "Audio Eraser" feature, aimed at attracting content creators.

Project Moohan — Samsung's First XR Headset

At the Barcelona event, Samsung also gave a glimpse of Project Moohan, Samsung's first-ever Android extended reality (XR) headset. Debuting with the Android XR platform, the headset uses multimodal AI technology for more natural interactions, Samsung said. The project is being done in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm.

Samsung said that the device will come across as offering highly “context-aware”, personalised experiences to shape daily life in a more immersive manner.

Galaxy A series

Samsung has also revealed the latest Galaxy A series with the Galaxy A56 5G and Galaxy A36 5G models. These models are a reflection of the company's commitment to democratising mobile AI experiences, the tech giant said. The new A series integrates ‘Awesome Intelligence' bringing powerful Galaxy AI technology to a broader user base.

Samsung has integrated creator-focused tools like the popular ‘Object Eraser' in the newly launched models. The series also features six OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Additionally, it includes fan-favourite features such as "Circle to Search.”
