Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7
The main stars of the event are expected to be the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the new series in Samsung’s foldable innovation. One of the key anticipated upgrades on these models will be their slimmer designs. It is expected that Fold 7 will position itself as Samsung’s thinnest book-style foldable design to date. The model is expected to be just 8.9 mm thick when folded and 4.2 mm when unfolded, according to a report by Sammobile.
Samsung is also likely to introduce a powerful 200MP main camera, which will be a first for the Fold series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to come with upgrades such as a larger 4-inch cover display and a 4,300 mAh battery. For the first time in Samsung’s foldable lineup, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will run on the company’s own Exynos 2500 chip.
According to Sammobile, Samsung is also expected to introduce a more affordable foldable: the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. It will reportedly be powered by the Exynos 2400 chip. Other details about this model remain unknown.
Galaxy Watch 8 Series
Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Watch 8 series alongside its new foldable phones. This year’s lineup will feature both the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Reports suggest the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will revive the physical rotating bezel and adopt the squircle design from last year’s Watch Ultra. It also features the Ultra’s action button for better functionality, the Sammobile report added.
Samsung may not introduce many upgrades for its watches. However, it is widely expected that they will be powered by the Exynos W1000 chip used in the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The South Korean electronics company is also expected to start rolling out the official One UI 8 (Android 16) update around the Unpacked event, the report mentioned.
