Resident Evil 3 Remake Download Now Available For iPhone, iPad, Mac; First Level Free
Those who download Resident Evil 3 on their iPhone, iPad, and Mac, can play the first level for free but will have to use in-app purchases to buy the rest of the game.

Apple has made 2020's Resident Evil 3 available to download and play for iOS users on its virtual App Store. A remake of the 1999 classic survival zombie horror game, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil 3 can now run on the iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Originally released for the Play Station 4, Windows and the Xbox One by Capcom, the game was ported to run on Apple devices, following the previous entry in the franchise, Resident Evil 2, another remake launched for PC and consoles that Capcom brought to the App Store in December 2024.
Those who download Resident Evil 3 can play the first level for free but will have to use in-app purchases to buy the rest of the game, the game takes up storage space of about 31 GB.
Capcom recommended to players to use a gaming controller on their devices while playing, despite virtual controls already present for the game.
Resident Evil 3 follows Jill Valentine, a special operations agent, and the protagonist of Resident Evil 1, who has to contend with and escape a zombie virus infested Raccoon City while being hunted down by a mutated behemoth known as 'Nemesis'. The monster was designed specifically to silence her by the corporation responsible for the viral outbreak.
Developers were inspired by the liquid metal killer-robot T-1000, from James Cameron's sci-fi film Terminator 2: Judgement Day, while designing Nemesis and he was intended to be a relentless obstacle that would track the player character and do it's level best to kill them.
The player can also play as the mercenary Carlos Oliveira at certain parts, an ally of Valentine, whose unit was also stranded in Raccoon City.
The remake builds upon the same gameplay introduced by its predecessor, Resident Evil 2, just like the original did, with the game having more of an emphasis on action over survival and resource management mechanics, which are still present but not as detrimental to the overall experience.
Puzzle solving also makes a return from Resident Evil 2, with player having to solve puzzles to unlock areas and progress forward in the main story.
The game also increased movement speed for the characters and the ability to dodge attacks.
