Namotel Acche Din Phone for Rs 99 Is Another Ringing Bells Scam!

None

Namotel Acche Din is the latest entry-level smartphone that will cost you less than Rs 100. The Acche Din branding goes in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ministerial motto, ‘Acche Din aane waale hain'

The Acche Din smartphone is priced at Rs 99 and comes via a Madhava Reddy, the promoter of the product, who makes the tall claim of selling the world's cheapest smartphone.

Reddy claimed that Namotel is the world's cheapest phone with 4-inch display and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop flavour. The phone is powered by a 1.3-GHz quad-core processor along with 1 GB RAM.

Much to our interest, the smartphone was supposed to be available for booking from 17 May to 25 May 2016, but as things stand, we can't even open the website, Namotel.com.

And even then, the company has openly promised to offer the device, charging the buyers for delivering it.

According to reports, the message displayed by the company says, “Joy and freedom represent the logo! We make this product to show love for India, it is a ‘'MAKE IN INDIA' Initiative. This model is limited and it is applicable only for India and who holds Aadhar Identity.”

After the recent controversy with Freedom 251 and then the Docoss X1, we can hardly believe what the Acche Din from Namotel offers. Surely, it is another Freedom 251-like scam in the making?
