Ixigo on Wednesday announced an expanded partnership with OpenAI to enhance its artificial intelligence capabilities and deploy them across its group platforms, including ConfirmTkt and Abhibus. The company said the collaboration is aimed at accelerating large‑scale AI integration within its operations and consumer-facing products.
Under the partnership, ixigo will use OpenAI's Enterprise API to introduce advanced AI tools and next‑generation coding models into its technology stack. According to the company, these systems will support autonomous workflows and enable new use cases such as automated agents, AI-assisted processes, contextual assistants, and further research into AI-driven travel experiences.
Ixigo has previously incorporated AI into multiple functions, including customer service, where it says around 90% of voice and chat support is fully automated. The company also uses AI in software development, business processes, marketing, and operations.

In 2025, ixigo introduced 'Project Trishul,' a three-part AI strategy focused on efficiency, revenue and new technology-led disruption. The initiative aims to improve monetisation, operational leverage and multi-modal agentic capabilities across its platforms. The company said its collaboration with OpenAI is expected to advance AI-based coding, quality assurance, and the development of autonomous workflows across the organisation.
"We have been working with AI since 2012, and companies now need to broaden AI deployment to benefit both customers and partners. Our collaboration with OpenAI will accelerate the adoption of AI and agentic workflows within the organisation and across the travel services we offer," said Rajnish Kumar, Group Co‑CEO, and Aloke Bajpai, Group CEO of ixigo.
