A new leak has provided a closer look at the upcoming Apple iPhone 17 Air, showcasing an astonishingly remarkably thin design. It makes existing iPhone models look bulkier. The leak was shared by tipster Sonny Dickson. It shows images of non-functional dummy units used by case and accessory manufacturers to prepare for future releases. The images, shared by Dickson, show the dummy units from every angle. The side-profile shots highlight the contrast between the iPhone 17 Air and the rest of the lineup.

While earlier iPhone models have never seemed particularly bulky, they appear noticeably thicker next to the iPhone 17 Air ultra-slim design.

The images confirm much of the speculation surrounding the iPhone 17 lineup, particularly the phone-spanning camera bump that is expected to be a signature feature on all models except the standard iPhone 17.

The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly feature a 6.6-inch display, placing it between the 6.3-inch iPhone 16 Pro and the 6.9-inch iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman confirmed these dimensions in his latest Power On newsletter, adding that Apple initially considered a 6.9-inch variant but abandoned the idea over concerns about durability with a large display.

Gurman added that iPhone 17 Air will adopt slim bezels similar to the iPhone 16 Pro, feature the Dynamic Island cutout and introduce a Camera Control button. The leaked dummy photos shared by Dickson support these predictions.
