iPhone 17 Air 5G Phone: Expected Price in India, Launch Details And Key Features

Apple is expected to launch its latest iPhone 17 series in September, featuring four new iPhone models with its latest AI technology. This time, Apple is likely to release a new model called iPhone 17 Air, in addition to the base and the high-end variants.
The other three models are likely to be called iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max.
Apple’s iPhone 17 Air is going to provide a more affordable premium model with an “ultra-slim” design in the latest lineup. While Apple has kept the details of launch under wraps, several leaks and rumours have been emerging about the designs and innovation of the new Apple smartphone series.
The iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to have an ultra-thin design, measuring about 5.5 mm thick. It is expected to weigh around 145 grams, making it the lightest and slimmest iPhone so far.
The iPhone 17 Air is expected to feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling. Reports suggest that with iPhone 17 Air, Apple plans to rival Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge in design and use.
The iPhone 17 Air may feature the A19 Bionic chip with 8GB RAM. It may come with a 2800mAh battery, smaller due to its slim design. Earlier reports indicated that Apple will likely introduce an e-sim feature in this model, given its design constraints.
The iPhone 17 Air may include a single rear camera with Fusion Camera technology. It is likely to offer up to 2x optical-quality zoom. Rumours suggest the iPhone 17 series could feature a 24MP front camera. However, it remains unclear if this upgrade will be included in the slimmer iPhone 17 Air model.
iPhone 17 Air Expected Price And Launch Date
While details about pricing are limited, the iPhone 17 Air may be positioned as a premium mid-tier device. According to reports, it is expected to be priced at Rs 89,900 in India, $899 in the United States, and AED 3,799 in the UAE.
While the exact launch date of iPhone 17 series is not known yet. However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the tech giant is likely to launch the latest iPhone lineup on Sept. 8 or 9.
