Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) has kept fans waiting for a long time. While there's still no official update on the game's release date, a Swiss retailer, Brack, briefly listed pre-orders for the game at 99 Swiss francs — roughly $112 or Rs 9,300. The listing has sparked speculation about a possible price hike for Rockstar Games' upcoming blockbuster. Although the listing was later taken down, gaming enthusiasts were quick to share screenshots online.

According to a report by Destructoid, the listing by Brack was marked as genuine.

GTA makers Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive are yet to confirm the official pricing. If the recent listing is accurate, GTA VI is likely to come with a more premium price tag than the standard $70 for most next-gen AAA games.

GTA VI Launch

GTA VI is likely to arrive by Fall 2025 for consoles, with a PC version launching in 2026. While an official confirmation on the game's launch date is still awaited, expectations are that it could release within a week of Borderlands 4, which is slated for release on Sept. 23, 2025. The first trailer for the next-gen entry in the popular franchise was released in 2023. However, since the second trailer has yet to be revealed, some analysts and global fan communities believe the launch may be delayed to 2026.

GTA VI Features

The game is expected to feature dual protagonists, including the franchise's first female lead, and an open world based on modern-day Florida. The fictional state, Leonida, will include Vice City and other varied locales such as beaches, towns, and swamps.

Earlier reports suggested that the new-gen game will come with the largest GTA map to date, bringing a variety of topographies, interactive areas, and a fresh, dynamic feel. It is set to feature enhanced graphics, with improved realism and AI. The Wanted system in the game may also see an update, introducing stealth-based escape options, smarter police AI, and new law enforcement responses.
