Apple iPhone SE 4 Listing Pops Up On This Site After Launch Shock; Check Likely Price
The placeholder on the French website Boulanger shows the new iPhone SE is “coming soon.” Is it about the Apple iPhone SE 4 launch? It lists the iPhone SE 4 price indicating it is a placeholder.
Apple was expected to launch the iPhone SE 4 on Feb. 11, but surprisingly it didn’t. Not only did it disappoint the highly anticipated fans but also left people wondering whether the iPhone SE 4 launch will take place “next week” (as Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman noted) or be pushed back even further to March-April (as earlier reports had indicated). However, Gurman does seem to be quite confident about the latest iPhone SE 4 launch date. In the meanwhile, a product listing for a 'new' variant of the iPhone SE has been prematurely released by French electronics site Boulanger. The placeholder page stated that the item is "coming soon", but it provides no other details except to say the model is an 'iPhone SE'. In fact, iPhone SE 4 price is listed there as €9,999.05 and this clearly indicates the page is merely a placeholder. An iPhone 16 costs $799 and the SE 4 is a budget phone.
Considering that there are no other iPhones ready to launch, iPhone 17 series launch is expected during the Fall season, the assumption is that the reference is to the new iPhone SE.
A reader of the French technology news website Numerama noticed the listing. It’s yet unknown whether the iPhone SE placeholder page was made in response to rumours circulating around the “imminent” release of the iPhone SE 4 or whether Boulanger was tipped by Apple that a new iPhone SE is on the horizon.
When Is iPhone SE 4 Launch?
The page only adds to the growing number of leaks and reports about the upcoming launch of the iPhone SE 4. The question, however, remains when?
Notably, Gurman last week took to X announcing that the new iPhone SE was arriving next week (this week); however, given that Apple announced no such launch, he later had to back-pedal and say that the phone "should be announced by next week". His latest predictions varied from the earliest reports on the issue which had been stating that Apple will release the iPhone SE 4 at the end of March or early April.
iPhone SE 4 Specs And Features: What's In Store?
With leading-edge features and a novel design, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to pack a punch at a relatively low price of $499 (anticipated), elevating the SE experience to a new high. It will likely sport an iPhone 14-inspired design, packing an A18 chip, Apple’s in-house modem, a bigger battery, and USB C port.
Apple iPhone SE 4 is also expected to boast a 48MP main camera, Face ID, and better RAM and storage; not to mention the much touted Apple Intelligence features in a starter iPhone.
For now, however, fans are keeping their fingers crossed on what comes out of Apple's doors next week, if at all!
