Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 18 lineup later in 2026, with rumours suggesting the launch could occur in separate events rather than a single September release. The lineup is expected to comprise the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and the second iteration of the iPhone Air.

While nothing is officially confirmed, a recent leak from tipster Digital Chat Station provides details on the anticipated display sizes across the iPhone 18 series, along with some potential front-camera refinements.

Apple iPhone 18 Display Specs Tipped

According to Digital Chat Station, all iPhone 18 models are set to feature LTPO panels with a 120Hz refresh rate, maintaining the smooth performance seen in recent generations. Here's a breakdown of the rumoured screen sizes:

  • iPhone 18: 6.27-inch display with the standard Dynamic Island.

  • iPhone 18 Pro: 6.27-inch display, but featuring a redesigned under-display cutout for the Face ID system.

  • iPhone 18 Pro Max: 6.86-inch display, also with the same redesigned under-display cutout for Face ID.

  • iPhone Air 2: 6.55-inch display with a standard Dynamic Island.

Compared to the previous year's lineup, these sizes remain largely unchanged, indicating minimal shifts in overall dimensions or form factor for 2026.

Under-Display Face ID For iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max

An interesting detail involves the iPhone 18 Pro models. The leak describes a “newly redesigned under-display cutout area,” where most Face ID components would be hidden beneath the screen. This would leave only the front-facing camera visible as a small punch-hole (likely positioned at the top-left).

This is likely to create a cleaner, more minimal look at the top of the display, while still retaining full Face ID functionality. The standard iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 are expected to keep the familiar pill-shaped Dynamic Island unchanged.

The iPhone 18 series is said to be in the sample production stage, and separate reports have pointed to upgrades for the selfie camera across all models.
