If you're looking for a premium, powerful smartphone but aren't bothered by generation, now is the time to head to Amazon. The e-commerce giant has slashed iPhone 16 prices, with direct discounts complemented with bank offers and exchange deals.
These discounts are showing up as iPhone 17 launch draws close. But should you wait for the new series or grab this deal?

The iPhone 16 series was released in 2024 with a starting price of Rs 79,900. iPhone 16's White, Ultramarine, and Black colour variants have a straight discount of 8% (Rs 6,400), bringing their price down to Rs 73,500 on Amazon.
Bank Offers: Further, there's up to Rs 4,000 discount on select credit cards: ICICI Bank, SBI and Kotak Bank.
Cashback: Prime members can also get 5% cashback with Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card, while non-members can get 3% cashback.
Exchange Offers: To further sweeten the deal, you can get up to 52,000 off when exchanging your old device (depending on the make/model and condition).
The iPhone 16 packs Apple's powerful A18 chipset, which offers great performance and a smooth experience. It introduces Camera Control, paired with a 48MP Fusion camera and an improved ultrawide shooter.
It further boasts Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools, summarised notifications, Image Playground, and Genmoji.
Should You Grab iPhone 16 Or Wait For iPhone 17?
The base iPhone 17 is expected to feature a bigger 6.3-inch display, a new 24MP selfie camera (but same wide and ultrawide cameras), and Qi 2.2 wireless charging. The A19 chip upgrade is not certain, and Apple may continue with the older A18.
