If you are looking to make your social life simpler and much easier to negotiate, especially when it comes to the many special events in your life, then Apple has you covered. The tech major has just launched the Apple Invites App for making event invitations. The move comes as part of a larger effort to increase subscription revenue. Apple has also released an updated AppleCare+ customer service for iPhones.

Called Apple Invites, the new app enables users to design and distribute personalised invites for occasions such as birthday parties and more. The app can also use Apple Intelligence to build shared photo albums from the event and create playlists in Apple’s music streaming service.

How To Use Apple Invites

Users can access Apple Invites online at icloud.com/invites or download it from the App Store. Anyone, even those without an Apple account or device, can RSVP to invitations created by iCloud+ subscribers.

To begin using Apple Invites, users can select an image from their photo library or the app’s gallery of backdrops, which is a carefully curated selection of photographs that reflect various events and themes. Users can even get directions to the event and the day’s forecast thanks to integrations with Maps and Weather.

Users can also leverage the built-in Image Playground experience to produce original images using concepts, descriptions, and people from their photo library. Additionally, Writing Tools helps writing invitations and come up with the sentences to fit the occasion.

Apple Invites: Other Features

Hosts can quickly browse and modify their events, send invitations with a link, check RSVPs, and select which elements, such as the event background or a house location, should be included in the preview.

Without an Apple Account or iCloud+ subscription, guests can view and reply to an invitation online or through the new iPhone app. Participants can leave or report an event at any moment, and they have control over how their information appears to others.

In order to retain memories and relive the event, participants can also add images and videos to a special Shared Album included in each invitation. Additionally, Apple Music users can use collaborative playlists to construct an event soundtrack that visitors can listen to directly from Apple Invites.

AppleCare+ Changes

Apple has also reportedly raised the price of its AppleCare+ device protection programme in the U.S. All iPhone models are now $0.50 more expensive.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, new users “won’t be able to pay upfront for an AppleCare+ plan at retail stores or via the AppleCare menu on the iPhone itself.” Apple will instead offer monthly or annual subscriptions and prioritise the more expensive Theft and Loss package.
