Virat Kohli added another milestone to his IPL career, bringing up his 300th six in the league during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) chase against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, April 24. By doing so, he became the first player in IPL history to reach the mark for a single franchise.
The landmark moment came in the eighth over, when Kohli pulled Rashid Khan over long-on, a clean, controlled strike that encapsulated Kohli's immaculate timing and assertive presence at the crease.

Kohli combined early fortune with sustained authority to produce a decisive 81 off 44 balls to help RCB cruise to their 206-run target against Gujarat.
Dropped by Washington Sundar on the very first ball he faced, Kohli made Gujarat pay immediately, first by stabilising the innings, and then by accelerating through the middle overs with a high-tempo, boundary-driven knock that defined the chase.
Another day, another BIG milestone for Virat Kohli 🫡

In the course of his innings, Kohli also became the first batter to hit 800 IPL boundaries, extending his record at the top of the list.

The innings followed a clear arc. Kohli began with measured control, reaching 22 off 15 balls by the end of the Powerplay while Devdutt Padikkal provided early momentum at the other end. Once set, he shifted gears decisively, taking on Rashid Khan and keeping the required rate in check with calculated boundary-hitting.
Kohli stitched a 115-run partnership with Padikkal, a stand that effectively broke the back of the chase.
He finished with eight fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 184.09, underlining a continued shift in his T20 approach, from accumulation to sustained intent.
Kohli now has 807 boundaries from 266 innings in the IPL, well ahead of second-placed Shikhar Dhawan who retired with 768.
Kohli's innings, however, ended short of a century. In the 14th over, he attempted to pull a short delivery against Jason Holder but ended up chopping it back into the stumps.
A quick-fire cameo from Krunal Pandya helped RCB win with seven balls to spare. They have now moved to second in the IPL standings with 10 points after seven games.
