Check which players lead the all-important Orange and Purple Cap Winners list and which team tops the table after round 1 of IPL 18.

The first week of IPL 2025 has been a roller-coaster ride. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) began where they left off and have already registered the second-highest score in IPL history, led by Ishan Kishan, who was exceptional in his debut game for SRH. The southpaw annihilated the Rajasthan Royals bowling unit with charismatic batting to register the first century of this IPL season.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) are also off to a flying start. RCB humbled defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) away from home, with Virat Kohli scoring an impactful fifty.
Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer, who led KKR to their 3rd title last year, scored a pulsating 97 (not out) to help his new team overcome Gujarat Titans (GT) in the campaign opener.
In the first El Clasico of IPL 2025, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) put on a bowling masterclass to defeat Mumbai Indians (MI) by 4 wickets at Chepuak. Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad fetched a four-wicket haul, while Khaleel Ahmed took three for CSK. MI debutant Vignesh Puthur also had a good outing, picking three scalps in his first IPL appearance.
Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have arguably produced the most thrilling contest of IPL 2025 so far. While defending 210, LSG had reduced DC to 65/5 and looked all set to book an easy victory. But Ashutosh Sharma, who came in as an impact player for LSG, changed the course of the game, registering an unbeaten 66 off 31 deliveries. He was ably assisted by Vipraj Nigam, who scored a valuable 39 as DC won the contest by a narrow margin of one wicket.
