Nicholas Pooran leads the Orange Cap race with 189 runs in three matches at a strike rate of over 200.

The first two weeks of the Indian Premier League 2025 have been a rollercoaster ride for the fans. The tournament kicked off with the promise of high-scoring games, with 200-plus scores appearing as a par total. However, the bowlers seem to have found their groove, and high totals haven't come easily in the last few matches.
Energised by the induction of a new skipper and coach, Punjab Kings (PBKS) have showcased dominance in the tournament so far. The Shreyas Iyer-led side sits at the top of the IPL 18’s points table with four points from two matches. Delhi Capitals also promise a turnaround this season, grabbing the second position in the points tally. Both teams have been undefeated so far.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans sit closely in third and fourth positions with four points each.
Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders are in the middle of the points table with four points from four matches, having lost two matches and won two. In their last match, KKR convincingly beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 80 runs.
SRH sit at the bottom of the points table after the defeat against KKR on Thursday. They have won one match and lost three so far, managing just two points. Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings, and Rajasthan Royals also have two points each.
Nicholas Pooran leads the Orange Cap race with 189 runs in three matches at a strike rate of over 200. Gujarat Titans' Sai Sudharsan follows closely in second place with 186 runs from three matches. Jos Buttler sits at number three with 166 runs at a strike rate of over 172.
CSK's Noor Ahmad tops the Purple Cap standings with nine wickets from three games, followed by Delhi's Mitchell Starc with eight wickets from two games.
As the competition intensifies, fans are keeping a close eye on key stats like leading run-scorers, top wicket-takers, and team rankings to track their favourite players and franchises.

IPL 2025, LSG vs MI: Match Preview
Two stalwarts of Indian cricket -- Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant -- will be hoping to overcome their lean patch when Mumbai Indians face Lucknow Super Giants in a clash between two struggling teams in the Indian Premier League in Lucknow on Friday.
Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have not really clicked so far this season, with just two points from three games.
India captain Rohit's form with the bat has put the MI team management in a tight spot. The same is for LSG skipper Pant whose extended dry run is not helping matters for the home side.
With both the teams almost identically placed with a solitary win each in three games, the contest could boil down to who exploits the conditions better on the day.
