Welcome to our live coverage of India's final group stage outing at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. The Men in Blue close out their Group A campaign against the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Suryakumar Yadav won the Toss and opted to bat first as India made two changes to their Playing XI with Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar replacing Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel. The Netherlands made one change with Noah Croes coming in for Fred Klaassen.
Aryan Dutt gave the Dutch team a blazing start as he castled Abhishek Sharma in the first over. It was the third duck in a row at the T20 World Cup for the No. 1 ranked T20I batter. Dutt also got rid of Ishan Kishan in the powerplay as India lost both openers early.
Right then! The second innings is about to commence. The players have returned to the field. Max O Dow and Michael Levitt will be opening the innings for Netherlands. Arshdeep Singh will be bowling the first over of the innings.
Logan van Beek comes in to bowl the final over. He starts with a low full toss to Dube and sees it sent flying into the crowds over long-on for SIX.
CAUGHT! Dube goes for the pull on the 2nd delivery but this time doesn't get enough on it as substitute fielder Timm van der Gugten takes a smart catch. van der Gugten stretches high over his head to grab the ball and then releases it back into the field as his momentum takes him beyond the ropes before coming back to complete the catch.
Shivam Dube c (sub)Timm van der Gugten b Logan van Beek 66 (31)
Rinku Singh walks out to bat and gets off the mark with a big slog to send the 4th ball flying over deep midwicket for SIX. Rinku misses the pull on the 5th delivery but Hardik pushes him to steal a bye.
CAUGHT! van Beek finishes with a slower delivery to Hardik who connects with the toe-end of the bat as it flies high towards long-off where van der Merwe makes no mistake.
Hardik Pandya c Roelof van der Merwe b Logan van Beek 30 (21)
13 runs and 2 wickets come off the final over.
India 193/6 after 20 overs.
It's raining sixes in Ahmedabad at the moment with these two in some mood.
Hardik Pandya wastes no time and goes straight on the attack. 🔥

Kyle Klein returns to the attack but pulls out at the start as he seems to suffer from cramps. The Physio comes out and he's able to bowl after some treatment.
Klein starts off with back-to-back wides as he struggles to find his radar. He finally nails the leg-stump yorker but Dube manages to glance it past short fine leg for FOUR. Dube mistimes the slog on the 2nd delivery but it lands safely at midwicket as they get a single.
Hardik then finally gets going as he reads the slower short delivery on the 3rd ball and slaps it powerfully over long-on for SIX. Klein responds with a low full-toss and Hardik doesn't connect cleanly this time.
BRUTAL! Klein bangs the 5th ball short again but this time Hardik gets on the back foot and slaps it miles high over long-off for another SIX. That was hit with brute force. Hardik slogs at the last ball but mistimes the hit as it lands safely for 2 runs.
21 runs come off the over.
India 180/4
Bas de Leede comes in for his final over. Hardik is struggling to find the right timing as he doesn't get any runs off the first two balls. de Leede keeps it away from Hardik's reach as the 3rd ball flies off the edge for a single.
Dube meanwhile isn't having any issues on this surface as he waits back and pulls the 4th delivery through square leg for FOUR. He pulls the next ball to the same region for a single.
Hardik drives the last ball but picks out the man at extra cover. Just 6 runs come off the over.
India 159/4 after 18 overs.
Logan van Beek comes back into the attack and is welcomed by a brutal onslaught from Shivam Dube.
Dube's first hit comes on the 2nd delivery as he spots a slower ball and pulls it powerfully over square leg for SIX. The 5th delivery is another slower delivery that is right in the slot and this time Dube smacks it high over long-on for another SIX.
van Beek goes full and wide on the final delivery and this time Dube reaches out and carves it past cover for FOUR to bring up his FIFTY!
That's a 25-ball FIFTY for India's middle-order enforcer! Shivam Dube 50 (25b 2x4 5x6)
20 runs come off the over.
India 153/4 after 17 overs.
Roelof van der Merwe comes into the attack and the bowling change doesn't work out for the Netherlands. He starts off well giving away just a single off the first two balls.
The 3rd delivery is a poor waist-high full toss and this time Dube launches it high over midwicket for SIX. Hardik joins the party on the 4th delivery as he clears his front leg and smokes it over midwicket for SIX more.
15 runs come off the over. Just what India needed.
India 133/4 after 16 overs.
Bas de Leede comes back into the attack and he does well to not give away any boundaries in the over and keep the batters down to just singles.
The Dutch bowlers have done their homework here as de Leede mixes it up with a lot of slower deliveries in the over making it tough for either Dube or Hardik to free their arms.
Just 5 runs come off the over.
India 118/4 after 15 overs.
Kyle Klein returns to the attack and gets the breakthrough for Netherlands. Suryakumar begins the over with a good drive on the 2nd ball towards long-on where some sharp fielding saves the boundary and keeps them down to 2 runs.
CAUGHT! This time there's no reprieve for SKY as he whips a length delivery flat towards fine leg but picks out the fielder who makes no mistake. The Indian skipper walks back to the dressing room just as he was looking to accelerate.
Suryakumar Yadav c (sub)Timm van der Gugten b Kyle Klein 34 (28)
Hardik Pandya walks out to bat and gets off the mark with a single. Klein does well to keep only give away singles off the last two balls. Just 5 runs and a wicket come off the over.
India 113/4 after 14 overs.
Colin Ackermann comes back into the attack and he's welcomed by a rather belligerent Shivam Dube who decides to get going.
Dube clears his front foot and heaves at the 1st ball to send it flying over deep midwicket for SIX. The 3rd delivery is a tad too full and this time Dube drills it down the ground for FOUR. Ackermann then fires one into the slot and pays the price as the next ball is sent flying into the stands over long-on for SIX.
The pressure shows as Ackermann fires the next ball wide down leg. Both batters grab singles off the last two balls as 19 runs come off the over.
India 108/3 after 13 overs.
Bas de Leede comes back into the attack and loses his radar a little as he sends down two wides in the over. Both batters do well to take singles off every ball in the over to keep the scoreboard ticking.
Suryakumar finally cuts loose on the final delivery as he spots the fuller length ball and launches it high over long leg for SIX.
13 runs come off the over.
India 89/3 after 12 overs.
Aryan Dutt comes in to bowl his final over. ALMOST! Dutt almost has another wicket as there's a big appeal for LBW on the 5th delivery and Netherlands go for a review. It's another slider that has proved so effective for Dutt which Dube misses. The delivery is a good one and there's no edge but the impact on leg-stump is left to 'Umpire's Call' which means Dube survives but Netherlands don't lose their review. That's a close call for Dube.
Dutt meanwhile gives away just 2 runs in the over and finishes with excellent figures of 4-0-19-2 despite bowling three overs in the powerplay.
India 76/3 after 11 overs.
Kyle Klein comes back into the attack as Shivam Dube walks out to bat.
Klien does well to keep up the pressure on the Indian batters as he sticks to a disciplined line and restricts them to just singles in the over.
Just 5 runs come off the over.
India 74/3 after 10 overs.
THAT'S A BEAUTY! 41-year-old Roelof van der Merwe comes charging across from long-off and has taken an absolute screamer to ensure India's early wobble continues. It's an action-packed 9th over as Logan van Beek comes back into the attack.
DROPPED! Suryakumar goes for the pull on the 2nd delivery but it flies off the top-edge to go high towards deep square leg. The Indian skipper begins walking back but is handed a reprieve on 13 as Levitt sees the ball pop out of his palms.
Suryakumar celebrates by slashing the 4th ball for a FOUR past the slip cordon.
CAUGHT! Tilak reaches out and launches the last ball high towards long-off and this time van der Merwe shoes Levitt how it's done as he comes running across and puts in a sideways dive at the last moment to take a brilliant reverse cup catch.
Tilak Varma c Roelof van der Merwe b Logan van Beek 31 (27)
9 runs and a wicket come off the over as India's early wobble continues.
India 69/3 after 9 overs.
Bas de Leede, right-arm fast medium, comes into the attack and does well to maintain the pressure on the Indian batters.
He restricts the batters to just four singles in the over as neither Tilak or Suryakumar are allowed to free their arms. Suryakumar walks across on the 4th delivery and looks to play the lap shot but misses completely as de Leede slips in a slower delivery. This is smart bowling from Netherlands.
India 60/2 after 8 overs.
Colin Ackermann comes back into the attack and this time delivers a tight over. He restricts the batters to singles off the first two balls.
Suryakumar can't find the gaps in the field off the next two deliveries but plays a late dab past backward point on the 5th ball for 2 runs. He then whips the last ball for a single to retain strike.
Just 5 runs come off the over.
India 56/2 after 7 overs.
Kyle Klein, right-arm medium, comes in to bowl the final over of the powerplay. He's welcome with a beautiful cover drive by Suryakumar who sends the 1st ball racing to the ropes for FOUR. Both batters grab singles off the next two balls.
Suryakumar looks to flick the 4th delivery but this time gets a big leading edge that lands safely at backward point. He blocks the 5th delivery and ends the over with a single.
7 runs come off the over.
India 51/2 after 6 overs.
BOWLED HIM! Kishan b Aryan Dutt 18 (7)
Aryan Dutt is having a fine time bowling in the powerplay at the Narendra Modi Stadium. He comes in to bowl his third over in the Powerplay and this time gets the important wicket of the dangerous Ishan Kishan.
Kishan starts the over with a fierce pull to send the 1st ball racing through midwicket for FOUR. He then heaves at the 2nd delivery but this time it's a quicker slider by Dutt and Kishan misses completely as the ball hits his thigh pad and then lobs up to hit his elbow which in turn directs it onto the stumps. Quite the odd dismissal but Dutt won't mind as he's reeling away in celebration.
India's captain Suryakumar Yadav walks out to bat and gets off the mark with a single. Tilak meanwhile flicks the 5th delivery beautifully through midwicket for FOUR.
9 runs and a wicket come off the over.
India 44/2 after 5 overs.
Colin Ackermann, right-arm off break, comes into the attack as Netherlands opt for spin from both ends now.
Tilak goes for the reverse sweep on the 2nd ball but only bunts it back to the bowler. However, Ackermann has a shy at the non-striker's end but misses as they grab a single.
Kishan dances down the track on the 3rd delivery and deposits it into the stands over deep extra cover for his first SIX of this innings. He advances again but this time taps it to the off-side for a single.
Tilak gets down low and sweeps the final delivery for FOUR. 12 runs come off the over as India step on the accelerator.
India 35/1 after 4 overs.
Dutt continues from the other end as he begins the over with two dot balls. Tilak then reaches out and smacks the 3rd ball back over the bowler's head for FOUR.
Dutt does well to give away just a single off the last 3 balls. Just 5 runs come off the over.
India 23/1 after 3 overs.
Logan van Beek, right-arm fast medium, comes in to bowl the second over.
Tilak Varma immediately gets going as he launches the first delivery straight back over van Beek's head for a flat SIX. He then rotates strike with a quick single.
Kishan then gets off the mark as he waits back and plays a late cut to send it racing to the boundary for FOUR. He then skips down the track and sends the next ball flying over midwicket but good work in the outfield keeps it down to 3 runs. Tilak ends the over with a single.
15 runs come off the over.
India 18/1 after 2 overs.
It's a great start for the Dutch as they inflict further misery Abhishek Sharma. The Indian opener takes a vicious swipe at the third delivery from Aryan Dutt but the spinner sends down a quicker delivery that whizzes past the inside edge to crash into the leg-stump.
Tilak Varma walks out to bat and a misfield on the final delivery sees him get off the mark with 3 runs. That fumble in the outfield is the only blot in the over which denies Dutt a wicket-maiden
BOWLED HIM! There's no change of luck for Abhishek whose woeful form in the tournament continues. He safely blocks out the first two balls but then misses the third delivery as the ball crashes into the leg-stump.
Third duck in a row for the world no. 1 T20I batter who is proving to be an enigma at the T20 World Cup.
Abhishek Sharma b Aryan Dutt 0 (3)
There's a slight delay in proceedings as there's an issue with Abhishek Sharma's match jersey. The Indian opener finally walks out wearing Siraj's shirt. Maybe this will bring a change of luck for the No. 1 ranked T20I batter who has only managed to register two ducks so far in the tournament.
Ishan Kishan joins him in the middle and takes position at the non-striker's end.
Aryan Dutt the off-spinner is handed the new ball as Netherlands opt to open the bowling with spin.
Indian legend Ravi Shashtri walks out with the T20 World Cup trophy followed by the players from both teams as the throngs of fans packed in the Narendra Modi Stadium let out a loud cheer. It's time for the national anthems with the Dutch anthem first followed by India.
We're just moments away from the first over now.
Doing the pitch report at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, former England captain Nasser Hussain says, "Last game of Group A comes from Ahmedabad, and the weather is pretty good to be honest. It says 31 is the high. I think we've gone past that, and it'll be closer to 29 degrees, which is very comfortable, especially with that breeze and the low humidity. The all-important ground dimensions, if you have a look at it, it is 70 metres down the ground, and batting at this end as a right-hander, it's shorter leg side, 60 metres and a bit further, 68 metres,"
"It's a batter's paradise. And it gets better as the night comes on. The dew gets in here a little bit later on. But batters love it here. Second highest scoring ground in the competition so far. So maybe there are a few cracks, but they do absolutely nothing. Now I'll tell you what, as a bowler, well what is successful here? We've seen actually that fuller length, sometimes in the slot area, has been really effective. But it's been more pace off delivery. So if you're a pace bowler, which two teams here, Netherlands and India, both have exceptional pace bowling units, get the ball into the surface, be able to cause a little bit of issues. And we know there's some world-class batters on show that oval light up for those boundary dimensions you've talked about," adds Katey Martin.
"Yeah, it is a good pitch. It's black soil. It looks rock hard. Excellent surface. There'll be a real atmosphere here as well this evening. We're looking forward to it." concludes Hussain.
Here's what the captains had to say at the Toss.
Suryakumar Yadav (India Captain): We are going to bat first. Looks a good surface, we practiced here last night, there was a little bit of dew, so hopefully we get runs on the board and try and defend it because we're going to play the game on a similar strip 2 or 3 days later, so why not put bowlers under a little bit of pressure. (happy with how things have gone?) Absolutely, I mean, the mood in the camp is amazing. Boys are turning up really nicely, and the brand of cricket which I want them to play, I think they're responding it really well. (new performer in every game) Every game there's someone or the other raising their hand, taking the fight out, so it's good to see. Hopefully a new Man of the Match tonight and then we go into the Super 8. We have two changes - Arshdeep comes in for Kuldeep, Axar is resting and Washington comes in.
Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): Yeah, we would (have batted). Also looks like pretty good wickets. (what are you looking for from this game?) Obviously, yeah, playing in India is always an awesome experience. We feel like we've played a lot of good cricket. We've probably missed a couple of chances. So, yeah, for us, it's just about finishing our campaign well. (what are the areas you are trying to improve?) Probably all over the streak now, I think. You know, in patches we've been good with the bat and with the ball. But, yeah, just looking to put in a complete performance today. We have one change - Noah Croes comes in for Fred Klaassen.
Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar come in for India as Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel sit out. The Dutch make one change as Croes comes in for Klaasen.
India (Playing XI): Ishan Kishan (WK), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (C), Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Washington Sundar, Varun Chakaravarthy, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh.
Netherlands (Playing XI): Michael Levitt, Max O'Dowd, Bas de Leede, Colin Ackermann (C & WK), Scott Edwards(w/c), Zach Lion-Cachet, Roelof van der Merwe, Logan van Beek, Aryan Dutt, Kyle Klein and Noah Croes.
Suryakumar Yadav wins the toss and opts to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Team India will be vary of a few players who could pose problems in their quest to keep their winning streak going. Here's a list of players to watch out for from the Dutch side:
Bas de Leede: The absolute heartbeat of the Dutch side, de Leede is a world-class all-rounder who can single-handedly change a game. He typically bats at number four and is responsible for bowling the difficult "death" overs. de Leede starred in Netherlands’ only win of the tournament so far as he scored an unbeaten 72* off 48 balls and took 2/20 against Namibia.
Max O'Dowd: O'Dowd is the man India will want to dismiss early. As the Netherlands’ all-time leading T20I run-scorer, he acts as the anchor that allows the rest of the lineup to explode. He holds a career average of nearly 30 with a strike rate of 122, showing he knows how to balance caution with aggression.
Scott Edwards: The captain and wicketkeeper, Edwards is widely considered one of the best players of spin among the Associate nations. He’s a smart user of the sweep and reverse-sweep, which will be vital tools against India’s spinners in Ahmedabad.
Paul van Meekeren: Van Meekeren is the "enforcer" of the bowling attack. Standing tall and bowling with genuine pace, he provides the intimidation factor for the Netherlands. With a T20 World Cup economy rate of under 7.5, he is incredibly difficult to get away and has a knack for picking up "big" wickets.
Arshdeep Singh is just three wickets away from overtaking Ravichandran Ashwin as India’s leading wicket-taker in T20 World Cup history.
Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are also within touching distance. Bumrah needs four wickets, while Pandya requires five to move past Ashwin at the top of the list.
Ashwin is India's leading wicket-taker at the T20 World Cup with 32 wickets to his name.
Pakistan have become the second team to qualify for the Super 8 from Group A, knocking out the USA after securing a comprehensive victory against Namibia.
Riding on Sahibzada Farhan's unbeaten 100*, Pakistan posted 199/3. Usman Tariq then starred with the ball as he picked up 4/16 to help bowl out Namibia for just 97.
The massive 102-run victory should give the Men in Green a much needed boost after their humbling defeat to India.
Former India International, Mohammad Kaif says Abhishek Sharma should take his time initially at the crease before slamming his foot on the accelerator.
Here's what he had to say when previewing India's upcoming Super 8 clash against South Africa.
Prediction for #INDvSA 👉 Big hits, runs, and sixes! 🔥

The win against Pakistan extended India's record winning streak at the T20 World Cup to 11 games. This is a record that began under the leadership of Rohit Sharma at the 2024 edition and which Suryakumar Yadav's side have built on.
Here's a look at the list of longest winning runs at the T20 World Cup.
11* – India (2024–2026)
8 – South Africa (2024)
8 – Australia (2022–2024)
7 – India (2012–2014)
6 – India (2007–2009)
6 – Sri Lanka (2009)
6 – Australia (2010)
6 – England (2010–2012)
6 – South Africa (2021–2022)
Usman Tariq has just delivered a double-wicket maiden against Namibia to put Pakistan within touching distance of the Super 8s. The mystery spinner got JJ Smit caught out at deep midwicket and then castled Ruben Trumpelmann with a googly that flattened his middle-stump.
Pakistan need just 3 more wickets to secure qualification to the Super 8s with Namibia struggling at 81/7 after 14 overs.
India do not have any injury concerns in their squad but the management will most likely want to rotate the Playing XI to give some of the squad players some much-needed playing time to ensure everyone is ready to be called upon when needed.
Sanju Samson could be expected to be given another outing while Washington Sundar may be handed his first game of the tournament. We could also expect Arshdeep Singh to return and Jasprit Bumrah rested ahead of the decisive Super 8s.
India Probable Playing XI: Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson (wk), Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav (C), Hardik Pandya, Rinku Singh, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Varun Chakravarthy.
Netherlands Probable Playing XI: Michael Levitt, Max O'Dowd, Bas de Leede, Colin Ackermann, Scott Edwards (C & WK), Zach Lion-Cachet, Logan van Beek, Aryan Dutt, Roelof van der Merwe, and two of Kyle Klein, Fred Klaassen and Paul van Meekeren.
With qualification already secured by Suryakumar Yadav's side, tonight's game at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad could be the last opportunity for some of the squad players and out-of-form stars to impress before the decisive Super 8 phase of the tournament.
Here's a look at the players who will be under the spotlight as India take on Netherlands.

Here's the moment when Sahibzada Farhan became the third centurion at the T20 World Cup 2026. The Pakistan opener's 100* sees him placed alongside Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka (100*) and Canada's Yuvraj Samra (110) as the tournament's only centurions.
Remember, Pakistan need a victory against Namibia to secure their spot in the Super 8s. They're currently on course with Namibia down to 49/4 in their chase of 200.
A Masterclass in Batting! 💯

As India prepare to face the Netherlands, a quick look at some notable facts about tonight’s venue - the Narendra Modi Stadium:
World’s Largest Cricket Stadium: With a seating capacity of around 132,000, it is the biggest cricket stadium globally, surpassing the Melbourne Cricket Ground in scale.
Rebuilt, Not Just Renovated: Originally known as the Sardar Patel Cricket Stadium, the venue was completely redeveloped and reopened in 2020, transforming into a state-of-the-art facility.
Multiple Pitches, Varied Surfaces: The ground houses 11 centre pitches, including a mix of red and black soil surfaces, allowing curators to tailor pace and bounce depending on conditions.
Four Dressing Rooms: Unlike most venues, it features four dressing rooms to efficiently host back-to-back fixtures, particularly useful during global tournaments.
LED Floodlights, No Towers: The stadium uses an integrated LED lighting system built into the roof structure, eliminating traditional floodlight towers and reducing shadow interference.
While India have secured qualification the the Super 8s, Pakistan is still battling to secure the other remaining spot in Group A.
Salman Ali Agha's team need a win against Namibia to wrestle second spot in the group away from the USA who are currently above them courtesy a much-better Net Run Rate.
They've gotten off to a good start in Colombo as opener Sahibzada Farhan's unbeaten 100* off 58 balls has fired them to a total of 199/3 after 20 overs. It's over to their bowlers now to seal this win and ensure they book their berth in the Super 8 phase of the tournament.
Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of India’s final Group A fixture at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The Men in Blue are up against the Netherlands at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with qualification to the Super 8s already secured.
For Suryakumar Yadav’s side, the equation is less about advancement and more about momentum. India enter this contest unbeaten in the tournament and on a record 11-match winning streak in the T20 World Cup, a run stretching back to the 2024 edition. Extending that sequence while sharpening team combinations will be the immediate objective tonight.
Stay tuned as we bring you all the live updates from the tournament.
