Royal Challengers Bengaluru have opened ticket sales for the Indian Premier League 2026 season opener, as the franchise prepares to step out as defending champions for the first time at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Last season, RCB beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final to seal their maiden IPL trophy. Virat Kohli (43) led with the bat, while player of the match Krunal Pandya (2/17) was the star with the ball.

The ill-fated trophy parade that followed, which resulted in 11 deaths and over 30 injuries outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, resulted in the stadium being barred from hosting games by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA). Since then, the franchise has invested heavily to implement added safety measures and gain approval to host five home matches at the venue, including the season opener.

Taking control over ticket sales themselves, RCB have said that, "Tickets will be available only through the official RCB website and app. Do not fall prey to fraudulent websites claiming to sell RCB tickets."

Here's a breakdown of everything you need to know to get your tickets.

Match Details

RCB vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Date: March 28, 2026 (Saturday)

How To Buy RCB Tickets

Fans need to visit the franchise's official platforms only, viz. the RCB website: shop.royalchallengers.com or by downloading the official RCB app. A Digital KYC is mandatory, for which users need to link a government-issued ID.

Once the KYC is complete, fans can select the match (RCB vs SRH - March 28) and proceed to pick seats by selecting a stand/category.

No Physical Tickets Issued

Upon successfully completing the payment, a confirmed booked ticket will be issued to the user. The tickets will be digital only (no physical copy).

The ticket will provide key details such as entry gate, inner gate, stand, row and seat number. The entry QR code will appear only a few hours before the gates open on match day.

A maximum of four tickets are allowed per user.

Free Metro Travel

All RCB match ticket holders can also use the ticket as a metro pass on matchday to get to the stadium.

The club has requested fans to check the outer and inner gates printed on your ticket to ensure smooth entry and exit. Entry will be only through Cubbon Road, Link Road and MG Road. No entry from Queens Road except for certain Pavilion (P) stands.
