Reliance Securities Report

The Indian rupee depreciated against the U.S. currency on dollar on Monday amid central bank intervention amid expectations of more investment flows in the coming sessions.

The rupee ended at 73.78, compared with 73.61 close on Friday. The rupee tested the day's low of 73.86.

Asian currencies were broadly weaker and weighed on sentiments this Monday.

Meanwhile, investors eyed cues from the first U.S. presidential debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic opponent Joe Biden that will take place tomorrow.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex and the broader Nifty 50 index rose for the second straight session to end 1.59% and 1.6% higher respectively on Monday.
