(Bloomberg) -- It's almost Memorial Day and they're still skiing and reporting avalanches in Colorado thanks to this year's spate of spring snow.
- Vail Resort Inc.'s Breckenridge Ski Resort reported a base depth of 83 inches today and Arapahoe Basin Ski Area in Keystone reported 73 inches, according to the website On The Snow.
- The Colorado Avalanche Center posted 11 reports of avalanches across the state over the May 11-12 weekend though statewide conditions are described today as “generally safe.”
- While ski areas have been spared, seven people were caught in avalanches in Rocky Mountain National Park; none were seriously injured, the Associated Press reported.
