London Mayoral Candidate Rory Stewart called for the U.K. parliament to stop meeting in person as its members are at “high risk” of contracting the coronavirus.
“They are in danger of infecting each other in the chamber, and then going on to infect others,” he said in a tweet.
In another tweet, he urged the government to “immediately accelerate” their response to the outbreak.
Measures “must be implemented today,” he said. “We are taking far too much risk.”
