Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal arrived in Ludhiana amidst massive protests by Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Congress.
As Kejriwal got down at the Ludhiana railway station, he was greeted by protesters from the ruling SAD’s youth wing and opposition Congress’ women’s wing. He faced another group of protesters as he stepped out, who claimed to be from a Hindu outfit.
Earlier on Thursday, the AAP Chief faced an angry group of women protesters at New Delhi Railway Station while he was boarding a train to Punjab. The group shouted slogans at the AAP, accusing it of poor governance.
Mired in spiralling controversies, the AAP has been struggling to live up to it’s corruption-free image. Recently, one of Kejriwal’s minister, Sandeep Kumar, was caught in ‘compromising’ positions in a sex-tape, an event that political pundits say has dented the party’s image.
