Assembly Election Results 2023 Live Updates: BJP & Allies Win Tripura, Nagaland; Hung House In Meghalaya
The counting of votes is underway in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

BJP Wins Chinchwad, Erode Goes To Congress
Ashwini Jagtap of BJP defeated NCP's Nana Kate to win the Chinchwad seat by 36,168 votes. Meanwhile, the Erode seat in Tamil Nadu went to EVKS Elangovan of Congress.


BJP Alliances Cross Magic Mark In Tripura, Nagaland
BJP and its allies retained the crucial state of Tripura by winning 33 seats. The unlikely alliance of Congress and Left was victorious on 14 seats, only one more than the newcomer Tipra Motha.
On expected lines, the electoral mandate in Nagaland went in the favour of NDPP, which is supported by the BJP. The alliance secured 37 seats.
Meanwhile, the path to Assembly seems arduous for incumbent CM Conrad Sangma as his NPP could only manage to win 26 seatsm against the required number of 31.



BJP Takes Tripura, Nagaland; Meghalaya Heading For A Hung House
As expected, the BJP-NDPP combine is sitting on a comfortable victory in Nagaland, while NDA has crossed the magic mark of 31 seats in Tripura, with BJP winning on 30 seats and leading on two more.
Meanwhile, Conrad Sangma's NPP seems short of the required seats to form government in Meghalaya. The party has been victorious in 190 constituencies and is leading on six others. BJP has won two seats and is leading on one, TMC won four seats and is ahead on one, while Congress has won five seats.



Congress Wins Kasba Peth, Beats TMC In Sagardighi
Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar Hemraj won the Kasba Peth seat in Maharashtra by a difference of 10,915 votes, while BJP's Arun Jagtap was leading in the Chinchwad seat by 11,559 votes.
Meanwhile, Congress' Bayron Biswas won the Sagardighi seat in West Bengal with a lead of 22,986 votes. He defeated TMC's Debashish Banerjee.





Counting Trends For By-Elections
The Indian National Congress is leading in Kasba Peth seat in Maharashtra, Sagardighi in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu's Erode East, while BJP is leading in Maharashtra's Chinchwad seat and All Jharkhand Students Union Party is leading in Jharkhand's Ramgarh, according to numbers at 3:40 p.m.
