Visit the EPFO portal.
Go to the ‘Services’ tab and click on ‘For Employees’.
Go to the ‘Services’ section and click on ‘Member Passbook’.
Enter your UAN, password, captcha, and click on ‘Sign In’.
A document will be shown which includes the details about your EPF balance.
Checking EPF Balance From Umang App
You can check the EPF balance on your phone from the Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance, or Umang app. Here’s how:
Download the Umang app from the PlayStore or the App Store.
Tap on ‘EPFO’ option.
Go to ‘Employee Centric Service’ and tap on ‘ View Passbook’.
Enter UAN and OTP, and tap on ‘Login’.
Now you can check your EPF balance, including details of withdrawals and deposits.
Checking EPF Balance Through Missed Call
To check your EPF balance via a missed call, ensure that your PAN, Aadhaar and bank account number are linked to your UAN.
From your registered mobile number, give a missed call to 011-22901406. The call will disconnect automatically, and you will receive an SMS with your EPF details shortly.
Checking EPF Balance Through SMS
You can use your registered mobile number to send an SMS to 7738299899 to check your EPF balance. This option is available if the UAN is active and linked with your PAN, Aadhaar, and bank account number.
The format of the SMS is ‘EPFOHO UAN ENG’ if you want to receive the information in English. You have to use the first three letters of your preferred language at the end of the SMS to indicate your preference.

Visit the EPF portal and click on ‘e-Passbook’.

Choose the ‘Member ID’.
Now you can see the EPF balance and other details from the passbook. You can download it as well.
