The Galaxy S26 series, headlined by the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra, is set to be unveiled on Feb. 25 at Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung confirmed today. The South Korean technology giant appears to have chosen the date to honour the S25 range while ushering in its successor. The launch will be broadcast live via Samsung's official website, its Newsroom portal and the company's YouTube channel. The event will start at 11:30 p.m. IST.
A teaser image published on Samsung's website places the spotlight firmly on the next Galaxy S handset. The Feb. 25 event is widely expected to see the debut of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Galaxy S26 Ultra Full Specs And Features Leaked
A report from German outlet WinFuture suggests the Galaxy S26 Ultra will lead the range with a 6.9-inch Dynamic Amoled 2X display, with 3120 x 1440 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The handset is tipped to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset globally. Memory configurations are said to include 12GB or 16GB of RAM, paired with storage options of 256GB, 512GB or 1TB.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to feature a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.4 aperture, 24 mm focal length, 1/1.3-inch sensor size, and 0.6 μm pixels, supported by multi-directional PDAF and optical image stabilisation.

The setup reportedly also includes a 50MP ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view and Dual-Pixel autofocus, a 50MP periscope telephoto offering 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom — both telephoto units equipped with PDAF and OIS.
The front-facing camera is likely to remain unchanged, with a 12MP wide lens featuring an f/2.2 aperture, 26 mm focal length and dual-pixel PDAF.
The handset is also tipped to house a 5,000mAh battery, backed by 60W wired and 25W wireless charging. In terms of design, it is said to measure 7.9 mm thick and weigh 214 gm.
In Europe, it is expected to have a starting price of €1,469 (about Rs 1,58,417).
The reported specifications do not reveal details about Samsung's “Privacy Display” technology for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung is believed to be integrating a new privacy-focused screen technology directly into the Galaxy S26 Ultra, widely referred to as a “Privacy Display.” The feature appears to take centre stage in the company's first teaser for the upcoming line-up.
