U.S. Pro Sports Leagues Plan to Ban Outsiders From Locker Rooms

(Bloomberg) -- The major U.S. pro sports leagues are considering banning media and anyone other than necessary personnel from team locker rooms, according to people familiar with the matter.

The leagues are discussing enacting the proposal as a unified front, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the deliberations aren't public.

The move would represent the latest response by sports organizations to the coronavirus outbreak. But it stops short of some of the more extreme measures that some leagues have imposed around the world, such as canceling games or holding competitions with no spectators.
