(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump plans to nominate Jeffrey Byard to be administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the White House said in a statement Friday night.
Byard currently serves as associate administrator for response and recovery at FEMA, according to the White House statement.
News of the nomination comes after FEMA chief Brock Long said earlier this week that he plans to leave the agency.
