(Bloomberg) -- A probate judge said he will consider a request by Sumner Redstone's granddaughter to require the media billionaire to undergo a mental examination.
A Massachusetts judge scheduled the hearing for Friday on the request by Keryn Redstone, according to a copy of the order provided by her lawyers.
The request follows a settlement by Viacom Inc.'s controlling shareholders Sumner Redstone and his daughter, Shari, in a fight for control of the company with Chief Executive Officer Philippe Dauman, who is stepping down as part of the deal.
The Massachusetts judge will also consider whether Keryn Redstone should get a copy of the settlement, said her lawyer, Pierce O'Donnell.
