NYC Mayor Orders Quicker Probes of Alleged Police Misconduct

(Bloomberg) -- New York Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered quicker investigations of allegations of police misconduct.

Any incident leading to “substantial injury” will have a decision from the NYPD commissioner within 48 hours on whether to suspend or modify the officer's duty, de Blasio said on Wednesday. Investigations will happen in two weeks, he said.
