(Bloomberg) -- Israel has issued a broad warning to the economy as a defensive measure following a ransomware cyber attack on a hospital in the country's north.
The warning includes identification details of the attack on Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in the northern city of Hadera, the Ministry of Health and National Cyber Directorate said in a joint statement. Staff is working to restore the hospital's computer systems to full function as quickly as possible.
Hospitals and health maintenance organizations have been instructed to increase vigilance.
