(Bloomberg) -- Iran parliamentary deputies are petitioning to keep Javad Zarif as foreign minister after his resignation late Monday.
About 150 deputies, or a third of the chamber's lawmakers, signed a letter addressed to President Hassan Rouhani, state-run Tasnim news agency reported, citing Mostafa Kavakobian, a member of the parliament's national security committee.
Rouhani hasn't yet accepted Zarif's resignation.
