(Bloomberg) -- Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, the president of France between 1974 and 1981, is facing an investigation into sexual assault accusations.
Paris prosecutors said they opened a preliminary probe into the 94-year-old Monday. The move comes after a German journalist lodged a complaint accusing Giscard d'Estaing of having put his hand on her buttock three times during an interview in late 2018, Agence France-Presse reported earlier on Monday.
