Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Lose Rs 63,000 Crore In Market Cap, Led By TCS, Bharti Airtel
Tata Consultancy Services and Bharti Airtel suffered the largest losses in market cap, with TCS losing Rs 21,238 crore and Bharti Airtel Rs 10,674 crore.

The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 62,868 crore in market valuation on Monday, with Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and Bharti Airtel Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. lost Rs 21,238 crore in market capitalisation to Rs 15.97 lakh crore, and Bharti Airtel Ltd. lost Rs 10,674 crore with its market cap loss to Rs 9.46 lakh crore.
ITC Ltd. remained the only stock that ended higher out of the top 10 most valued firms, gaining Rs 125 crore in market capitalisation to Rs 5.87 lakh crore.
Infosys Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd. lost Rs 8,511 crore and Rs 7,437 crore, respectively.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. lost Rs 6,132 crore and Rs 6,021 crore, respectively.
The market capitalisation of Larsen and Toubro Ltd lost Rs 1,258 crores to Rs 5.33 lakh crore; ICICI Bank lost Rs 916 crore to Rs 9.46 lakh crore, and the State Bank of India lost Rs 803 crore to Rs 7.68 lakh crore.
RIL remained the most valued firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank Ltd., Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, SBI, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., ITC, and HCL Tech.
The benchmark equity indices ended lower on Monday, weighed down by information technology and metal stocks, as well as losses across the Asia–Pacific after mixed data from China.
The NSE Nifty 50 closed 100.05 points, or 0.4%, lower at 24,668.25, and the BSE Sensex ended 384.55 points, or 0.47%, down at 81,748.57. During the session, the Nifty fell as much as 0.67% to 24,601.75, and the Sensex declined 0.71% to 81,551.28.
The India NSE Volatility index jumped 11.13% to 14.51, the highest level since Dec. 13. It settled 7.41% higher at 14.02.
