Yellow Alert In Delhi: IMD Predicts Light Rain, Thunderstorm For June 3-4
Delhi is expected to witness a partly cloudy sky, with light rain or thunderstorm on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the maximum temperature is predicted to be in the range of 34 to 37 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the national capital for Tuesday and Wednesday (June 3 and 4), warning of light rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds.
On June 3, the weather agency said that the national capital is expected to witness strong winds ranging from 40 to 50 kmph, which could temporarily reach up to 60 kmph during thunderstorms.
A yellow alert by the IMD generally indicates a cloudy sky in the region, with a possibility of light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in the range of 40 to 50 kmph.
The maximum temperature in the city was recorded at 36.1°C on Monday, June 2. This was 3.9 degrees below the season's average, while the minimum stood at 22.6 degrees Celsius, which was 4.3 notches below normal.
The Delhi-NCR is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky, with light rain or thunderstorm activity on Tuesday and Wednesday. The maximum temperature is expected to be in the range of 34 to 37 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday, June 5, residents in the national capital can expect a partly cloudy sky, with possibilities of light rains or thundershowers in isolated areas, with gusty winds in the range of 30 to 40 kmph, temporarily reaching up to 50 kmph during thunderstorms.
Notably, weather conditions in Delhi are predicted to stabilise with rising temperatures and partly cloudy skies from June 5 onwards.
The IMD's latest five-day forecast for Delhi-NCR predicts a partly cloudy sky for June 6 and 7.

The daytime temperature in the city is expected to touch 38 to 40 degrees Celsius between June 5 and 8, while the minimum temperature could gradually increase to reach anywhere between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has clearly mentioned that there will be no heat wave conditions in Delhi-NCR over the next seven days.
Over the weekend, the winds are predicted to move towards the northwest region and are expected to be in the moderate range of 20 to 30 kmph.
Air Quality Improves
Meanwhile, the overall air quality in Delhi improved to the ‘moderate’ category on Tuesday.
As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the city was recorded at 139 at noon on Tuesday.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good", 51 and 100 is "satisfactory", 101 and 200 is "moderate", 201 and 300 is "poor", 301 and 400 is "very poor", and 401 and 500 is "severe".
