PM Modi Says Women's Role In Nation's Growth, Election Participation Has Risen
The prime minister said the various schemes introduced by the government have always focused on women.

Three crore women benefited from the ‘Lakhpati Didi’ scheme, which will help in boosting the nation's economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told NDTV in an interview. Modi expects that the three crore women who benefited from this scheme will help boost rural development.
Women's participation, not just in elections, but in all spheres—from the nation’s development to sports—has seen a rise, he said. "The current election is a testimony for the same."
The prime minister said the various schemes introduced by the government have always focused on women. "The schemes are launched not with an intention to gain vote bank, rather to push women's growth."
Modi said his past leadership experience, along with the party’s track record, has helped it create an identity and trust among people.
As far as the Bharatiya Janata Party is concerned, it has made its presence felt among all voter classes, which includes both rural and urban population, PM Modi said.
This has been possible because of the organisation (sangathan), he said. "This power of our organisation has helped us to channelise our work."
